60th Tubac Festival of The Arts

The longest running outdoor art festival returns for its 60th year this coming February (6th-10th) with 200 + participating artists alongside the more than 100 art galleries and shops, many of which will have special guest artists and events.  The village is the perfect setting for the festival with its uncrowded and meandering streets, to the unique merchants who call Tubac home.  Enjoy a beer, or two at our signature beer garden along with lunch or a snack from one of our unique vendors at the food court.

Casa de Tesoro - 8 Camino Otero Street
Join Nationally Recognized Southwestern Artists, Ben Wright, and Ray Tigerman during the festival.  In addition to the gallery, Casa de Tesoro will be hosting "Music on The Patio," with drinks, food, and fun!

Join the folks at Clay Hands and a special guest artist during the festival.

Cobalt Fine Art - Otero Street
One of the village's finest galleries, Cobalt Fine Art will feature a special guest artist along with a signature drink!

Music at La Guitarra (behind Casa de Tesoro)
Enjoy music from Nashville touring singer and songwriter, Cary Stone along with Nashville transplant, Tige Reeve daily.  The venue offers plenty of seating and a bar featuring domestic and imported beers, along with a selection of Mikes Lemonade.

Tubac Center of the Arts - 9 Plaza Road
The Center will feature the winning 2019 Open Studio Tour poster at the booth in front of the center. In addition, two artists will be making special appearances here during Festival. Oralia Lopez, well-known artist from Mata Ortiz will be here on Sunday to demonstrate painting some of her intricate pottery designs. Michael Anderson, member artist from Southern California will be here Friday through Sunday with his collection of beautifully decorated authentic cigar boxes. These boxes make unusual gifts or ideal to keep your own treasures inside.
Old World Imports - 7 Plaza Road
With an expansive collection of fine rugs, Old World Imports has got you covered.  Join them during the festival for drinks and hors d'oeuvre

Turquoise Tortoise Rogoway Gallery - 5 Calle Baca

The Red Door Gallery - 10 Plaza ROAD
The Red Door Gallery invites you to an Artist Reception February 8 & 9, 2019 from 11 am to 4 pm. Meet the Artists. Ling-Yen Jones, California jeweler, has been showcasing her permanent one-of-a-kind collection at the Red Door Gallery since 2014 and will be hosting a two-day trunk show during her stay.  A delight to behold!
CK Wearden, Artist in Resident, presents the Engagement Paintings of “Daisy Loves Ben” and “Ben Loves Daisy” from her continuing “White Hat Series”.  She will be offering  Ltd Edition Giclee prints at this time.  Look forward to seeing you!

Feminine Mystique Art Gallery - La Entrada de Tubac
The gallery will have 6 artists demonstrating their work in front of the gallery all 5 days from 11-4. Madonna Lane, watercolor artist; Peggy Wilmore, urban scenes in oil, Gail Arrenholz, glass collage mirrors, Jen Hocking, inspirational clay art, Melissa Branzell, fused glass pictures, and jewelry, and Gay Thorson, clay creations.

Tubac Arts and Gifts - 31 Tubac Road
With the village's most comprehensive collection of work from local and regional artists, Tubac Arts and Gifts will offer the chance to meet and watch a master weaver create the most sumptuous shawls and scarves. Cheryl Kabala will be setting up her loom in front of the gallery/gift shop so come ask questions and marvel at the amount of work that goes into creating a handmade garment.

Caroline Wayland -12A Tubac Road
Caroline will be setting up a demonstration area in front of her studio during the entire festival.
The Country Shop - 1 Will Rogers Lane
The shop will be featuring framed original art and illustrations by Jean Ekman Adams, an Arizona artist. She has written and illustrated several children’s books which the Country Store carries.

Tubac School of Fine Art4 Calle Iglesias
The Tubac School of Fine Art is featuring a festival long exhibit of 12 x 12" student work in their main gallery.  "Juried Emerging Talent Squared" will kick off on Feb. 6th at 10 am, with a reception on Feb. 8th, from 5 until 7 pm.  Don't miss the opportunity to visit this unique business in our historic village!

La Esplendida - Hesselbarth Lane
La Esplendida will have several artists working on our Patio throughout the Festival, located on Hesselbarth Lane behind Tubac Jack's. February 6th - Rick Wheeler will be demonstrating his Scratchboard technique. February 8th&9th - Linda Star Landon will demonstrate how she creates her beautiful pieces with oil and palette knife. Steffan Duplessis will be on the Patio throughout the week demonstrating his woodworking techniques in the creation of his walking sticks.
